While shopping at NOLAJane the other day in the Starland Design District, I noticed a poster in the window.

Could this really be? A film series dedicated to Wes Anderson films?!?

I’m no Margot (could never smoke and would have most definitely sewn my finger back on) but I put on heavy mascara, parted my hair, and donned my best faux fur and headed down to meet some  neighbors at the bar. Highly suggest.

Just like Gloria Estefan once sang, “The rhythm is gonna get you…” and our Savannah music scene is going to get you good!

This year’s Savannah Music Festival is in full swing with pianos, trios, quartets, big bands, blue grass and, of course, all that jazz.  Music is in the air, Savannah is on parade and you just can’t beat our low country vibe in the spring.  Don’t hesitate for a second thinking you’ll never find a place to stay because Busy Bee Vacations still has some dates open.  For instance, come on down to The Roost!  Continue Reading »

“We are Pretzel and the Peach also known as Wojtek and Brandi Bratek. We would like to help make your Savannah stay as enjoyable as possible.”

We are a health, nutrition and personal training business which revolves around helping people learn how to prepare healthy, tasty, real food instead of relying on eating out or using boxed and frozen prepared meals. We also hope to educate people about nutrition and how simple food choices can make major differences in a person’s health and well-being. We can offer you cooking classes at our home or your vacation rental. We can prepare a multi course meal for you or even drop off prepared meals. Our focus is on the use of local, organic and seasonal foods to ensure our meals are delicious, tasty and healthy. Let us know what you like to eat and we will satisfy your taste buds. Play dates for big boys at Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah

Crosswinds Golf Club is a fun course that’s only about 15 miles from downtown Savannah.  This Par-3 course was at one time lit so you could play at night (check before you go to be sure), but during the summer it’s not an issue since the days are longer and the sun doesn’t set until after 8 p.m.  There’s even a separate 9-hole, Par-3 course which can be great for settling any ties on the first 18 holes or for fun if you don’t have time for an entire round. movie nights in Savannah

Holly Golightly: It’s useful being top banana in the shock department.

Yep.  I’ll be settling into my seat at the Trustees Theater come Saturday night around 7 p.m.  This weekend, Breakfast At Tiffany’s comes to Savannah!  Breakfast at Tiffany’s is a romantic comedy that boasts one of Audrey Hepburn’s most memorable performance. Hepburn lights up the screen as Manhattan playgirl Holly Golightly in this story of a single girl’s search for Mr. Right in a city full of Rats and Super Rats. Love interest George Peppard is perfectly cast as the man who learns to love himself by loving Holly. Breakfast at Tiffany’s was nominated for several Academy awards, winning Best Score for Henry Mancini and Best Song for Johnny Mercer’s classic tune “Moon River.” Continue Reading »
