You Gonna Eat All That? SCAD Streamliner Diner

You gonna eat all that?  When you’re a SCAD student and you’re comfortably situated in a booth at the Streamliner Diner the answer is always, “Yes”.  Luckily for Busy Bee guests, the diner is also located next to our Delight on Duffy  and it’s also a close eatery treat for our Cottage 1010 guests!

You Gonna Eat All That? SCAD Streamliner Diner

The Streamliner Diner was constructed in 1938 in Worcester, Mass. After it was built, the diner was shipped to Newport, New Hampshire and was a fixture there for close to thirty-three years. The diner was moved to Savannah around 1990, and later that year the  Art Deco Societies of America honored the Savannah College of Art and Design for its restoration of the old Streamliner Diner. The college now owns and operates the diner, which is open for breakfast and lunch. It is located on Henry street, just a short walk from Forsyth Park. Continue Reading »

Just A Swingin’: Henderson Golf Club

Hey, with calm winds and cooler temperatures you should just be swingin’!  Swingin’ the clubs at Henderson Golf Club, that is!

Just a swingin' Henderson Golf Club

Henderson Golf Club is just a little south of Savannah (about 15 miles) just off I-95 at the Highway 204/Abercorn intersection.  It’s tucked in behind fast food restaurants, truck stops and hotels and a great value for such a great course.  It’s not a bad choice price wise and course wise if you have both novice and veteran players in your group.  “Par” for our low country area, you’ll find lots of water and marshes, so be sure to have bug spray handy.
